We read "From Seed to Pumpkin" and discussed the life cycle of a pumpkin. Then, we discussed what we knew about pumpkins. Next, we made our very own jack-o-lantern after telling Ms. Kim what the pumpkin looked like, smelled like, sounded like, felt like, and what we thought it may taste like. We guessed what may be inside the pumpkin and then cut it open. We played with the slimy inside of the pumpkin and sorted out the seeds. Next, we sang the song "This is how we carve our jack-o-lantern" and voted on the shapes we wanted for the eyes and nose. Do you know we drew our own mouth and cut it out of the pumpkin. By the way, this jack-o-lantern is so special, we named it Snowflake.
