We made homemade Rice Krispy treats. We talked about the ingredients needed to prepare the treats. We talked about kitchen etiquette and safety. Then, we prepared our pans and counted our cups of ingredients and melted butter to make it go from solid to liquid form. We also melted our marshmallows. To add a little more science in, we also mixed red and yellow food coloring into our marshmallow and butter mixture to make orange cream. We added and subtracted to get the correct amount of ingredients. We made our treats just right by mixing and stirring.
