We will be reading/singing "What's the Weather Like Today?" every morning. We really enjoy singing about the weather and making silly motions to go along with each type of weather. We read "Chrysanthemum" today. Then, we talked about how many letters she has in her name. We compared the number of letters in her name to the number of letters in our names. Next, we talked about feelings. Chrysanthemum loved her name and thought life was just perfect before her first day of school. After her first day, Chrysanthemum didn't think her name was perfect any more. In fact, she disliked her name and wished she could be named something else. After a kind teacher talked about names in her class, Chrysanthemum realized that she was just perfect the way she was. We talked about the things that make us happy at school.
