We read "The Kissing Hand" and talked about how Chester Raccoon's mom helped him prepare for his first day of school. Then, we talked about using kind words and ways to help each other. We learned a very sweet poem that helps us remember to always think before we speak. It goes like this: "Before you speak, think and be smart. It's hard to fix a wrinkled heart." We balled up a piece of paper with a heart on it and found that we couldn't get the wrinkles out. We want to be sure not to hurt anyone's feelings so we don't have any wrinkles.
