We listened to "The Twelve Days of Winter" story as we played in our winter centers. Some of us tried to go on an airplane trip, but we couldn't because of snow and ice. Some of us cooked up some hot soup for our classmates. Then, a few of us made snowmen and snowflakes in the art center with the modeling clay.

We read "It Looked Like Spilt Milk" then made our own pictures but instead of relating our pictures to the clouds, we talked about every snowflake being different. Each child made a snowflake then said what it looked like.

We read "The Berenstain Bears' Four Seasons" and "Owl Moon". We discussed the four seasons again today. Then, with "Owl Moon", we discussed the types of clothing the people were wearing and what they were looking for. We also talked about the moon in the book compared to our moon the last two nights.
