Over the last two weeks we learned about our state. We talked about the name of our state, the symbols of our state, and things we are known for in the state of Alabama. We went all the way back to before Alabama became a state and discussed how the Native Americans lived here before the settlers came to live here. We talked about the way things were then and now. We compared the types of transportation, homes, and medicine during the old days and now. On our last day of study, we discussed the state flag of Alabama. Then, we made our very own flags and presented them to the class so we could share things about ourselves.
