We made letters in our names and our favorite letters from playdough. This helps our hands get stronger and helps us hold our writing utensils better for more control when we draw and write.

Is this tree bigger or smaller than you? We stood by a tree that was bigger than us. Then we made our own trees from clay.

Today, we talked about trees and the importance of having trees. We read The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, Our Tree Named Steve by Alan Zweibel and Abiyoyo by Pete Seeger. We answered questions about trees and talked about what we know about trees. Tomorrow, we will talk about what we want to know/learn about trees and how they are important to us. We played on the box that is made of paper that comes from a tree.

We enjoyed the Three Little Kittens at Bibb Graves. It was really silly.
